Autism Empire is a not-for-profit site that sells nothing.  The goal is simple, create awareness, celebrate neurodiversity and provide a place for people to retreat.  Come read our blogs, use our resources and learn all about Autsim Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

Someone once asked me 'why Empire? It seems like a strong word.'
It certainly is a strong word but a fitting description. The non political definition of Empire is 'an extensive sphere of activity controlled by one person or group' (oxford dictonary).
Autism Empire is not controlled by one person and nor is autism in general. It is however a community governed or infulenced by one (autism), consisting of various peoples of race, religion and political views. A broad range of people with a commonality. That in itself, is the definiton of empire. The exception being that it is not ruled by a single person.
We are a empire of peoples, colourful and rich in our diversity. It is not about domination, taking over the world and enforcing our beliefs on others, it is about being like minded people banding together under a common cause; neurodiversity and acceptance through awareness.
